Science Media Awards 2012

2012 Winners 2012 Finalists2012 Symposium Guide2012 Science Media Guide

Science plays a profound role in our daily lives in ways we can scarcely imagine, from the infinitesimal to the infinite. This year, to recognize the outstanding media that best illustrates the wonders of science to a broad audience, we launched the inaugural Jackson Hole Science Media Awards! The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival is delighted to announce the 2012 finalists selected for its inaugural competition. This year's entries included 280 films entering more than 450 categories to compete for 18 special awards. More than 80 international judges screened an aggregated 1500+ hours in order to determine the finalists. Programs were selected from over 400 entries by a prestigious jury including: David Dugan, William Grant, Richard Hutton, Valentine Kass and Alison Leigh and celebrated at a Gala event hosted at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The Science Media Guide is now available!
